Other Trail Construction Commitments
|
In 1992, Boulder City partnered with the Regional Flood Control
District to construct a multipurpose facility in Hemenway Wash. It
included a flood channel and recreational trail facility. In 1997, Boulder
City received an ISTEA grant to extend this trail to a total length of 2
miles. The work was completed in 1998
|

In 2000, Lake Las Vegas agreed to construct segment 14 of the River
Mountains Loop Trail (2.6-miles) on the north side of Lake Mead Drive as
part of the City of Henderson Landscape Improvement Plan following the
land exchange with the Bureau of Land Management

In 1998, Southern Nevada Water Authority agreed to construct Segments
11 and 12 of the River Mountains Loop Trail (4-miles) along the new water
line corridor between the Foothills Reservoir Site and the new River
Mountains Treatment Facility

|
In 1998, Lake Mead NRA in Partnership with Basic Management Inc. agreed
to allow a portion of the abandoned Lakeshore Drive to remain as part of
the River Mountains Loop Trail (3.4-miles) following the construction of
the new Lakeshore Drive
