Henderson National Trails Day Event
Saturday October 14, 2006

Equestrian Park in Henderson NV
1200 Equestrian Drive (Just east of Magic Way)
8:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.

It is time again for National Trails Day for 2006!

The The City of Henderson, the Southern Nevada Regional Trails Partnership and the River Mountains Trail (RMLT) Partnership will be celebrating this year's event event at the Equestrian Park in Henderson, NV.

The free event will feature trail activities for hikers, bikers and equestrians (bring your own horse), activities for youth, a family hike, demonstrations, and information booths hosted by natural resource management agencies and outdoor recreation groups.

This year’s National Trails Day event will include two very special activities. Hikers may join a naturalist and learn about the flora and fauna as they hike from Railroad Pass to Equestrian Park. The historic Nevada Southern Railway will be offering a single 45-minute train ride along the Boulder Branch Line. Limited transportation will be provided to Railroad Pass. Please arrive early and visit the information booth to register.

Three hundred (300) participants will enjoy an American barbecue lunch provided by Railroad Pass Hotel and Casino.
In addition, the first three hundred (300) participants will receive a T-shirt underwritten by Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI).  The T-shirt has the Henderson National Trails Day event logo and other sponsors that made this event happen.
Come early

Outdoor clubs that serve those who use trails and retailers who market to the outdoor enthusiasts are welcome to set up displays or exhibits (at no charge).  However, they must first contact Bill Laub at 365-2024 or bill.laub@swgas.com

by October 6, 2006.  This form, and additional booth information is below.
