National Trails Day Event
Friday October 29, 2004

at the Nevada Railroad Museum
Boulder City NV

Registration Starts at 8:00 A.M. - - Trail hikes, bikes, rides start at 8:30 A.M.

It is time again for National Trails Day for 2004.  The River Mountains Trail Partnership will be celebrating this event at the Railroad Museum in Boulder City, Nevada on Friday, October 29, 2004.

Close to half of the 36 mile River Mountains Loop Trail (when built) will feature three separate, parallel trails, i.e. a paved path for hikers, walkers and bikers, a dirt trail for mountain bikers and a dirt bridle path for horses. Our event will feature a short hike, a short horse ride and a short mountain and regular bicycle rides for interested parties.  Plus, we will have one of the trains from the Museum running for the first 100 lucky participants.

The day is FREE!  Participants will have a barbecue lunch provided by Railroad Pass Hotel and Casino and receive a T-shirt underwritten by Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI) with the event logo.

The event is organized by the Southern Nevada Regional Trails Partnership and River Mountains Loop Trail PAC; sponsored by REI, Railroad Pass Hotel and Casino and the Cities of Henderson and Boulder City, Clark County, Nevada State Railroad Museum and Lions Clubs International.

In addition, all outdoor clubs that serve those who use trails and retailers who market to the outdoor enthusiasts are welcome to set up displays or exhibits (at no charge).   Contact Ed Dodrill 645-1791 for information.

We hope to see you Friday October 29, 2004!

Registration Starts at 8:00 A.M. - - Trail hikes, bikes, rides start at 8:30 A.M.
