TRAIL DEVELOPMENT OVERVIEW
SUMMARY: This trail segment is complete but it will need
signage and
security measures. There is a steep slope that will require relocation to
decrease the grade and/or signage warning of the hazard. The City of
Henderson has applied for a TEA 21 grant (I 1/2000) to bridge the Drake
Channel. There is also a need to evaluate options to improve the equestrian
tread, which currently consists of a narrow gravel path alongside the
existing paved component.
Remember desert tortoises and big horn sheep have the
"right-of-way" and are not to be disturbed
even if they are on
the trail or block your way.
