SEGMENT ENDPOINTS:

START: River Mountains Trail trailhead parking lot off of US 93 just southwest of Hemenway Park

FINISH: Industrial Road at US 93

SEGMENT NARRATIVE.

This is a 12-foot asphalt multi-use trail that is part of the Boulder City bike path and trail system. The trail runs parallel to US 93 and generally follows an uphill grade to Industrial Road.

EXISTING AUTHORIZED USES (S):

__x__ other (walking, jogging, rollerblading)

EXISTING TRAIL CONDITIONS:

TRAIL WIDTH: 12 feet

TRAIL TREAD/SURFACE. Asphalt

OTHER FEATURES: Minor separation from edge of US 93. No landscaping.

LAND OWNERSHIP AND OTHERS WITH EASEMENTS OR OTHER LEGAL ACCESS:

Boulder City holds ownership and easements for trail use. The trail lies within US 93(NDOT) right-of-way.

PROPOSED OR PENDING LAND USE CHANGES/OR OTHER OPPORTUNITIES OR OBSTACLES:

None known.

TRAIL DEVELOPMENT OVERVIEW

SUMMARY: This is an existing trail segment. This segment was completed in late summer 1997. It is a 12-foot wide asphalt multi-use trail without equestrian access. This segment is not proposed to have a gravel component for equestrian or mountain bike use at this time. Should the city desire a companion gravel corridor, it could be added.
