Desert tortoises and bighorn sheep have the "right-of-way."
They are not to be disturbed even if they are on the trail and block your way.

The River Mountains are a non-motorized use area.  The River Mountains Loop Trail is a non-motorized trail.   
No ATVs, no OHVs, no motorcycles, no dirt bikes.

Lake Mead Fee Station Trailhead  Take 93/95 to the Lake Mead Parkway exit, go east for five miles.  Pass the Lake Las Vegas Resort entrance and continue another two miles.  Just before the Lake Mead National Recreation Area north entrance fee station is the River Mountains Loop Trailhead.

The trailhead is located on the pullout shown below.  This picture was taken before the trailhead was built.  The trailhead has an information kiosk, trash cans, parking for horse trailers and dry bathroom.  No water.  See picture below.
